Are you ready for the best soap ever?
Well, you've found it!
I've been experimenting with different recipes over the years. My first soap with Crisco shortening changed when I learned the "Hot Process" method of soap making and discovered avocado oil! This is a great oil that brings all kinds of vitamins to your skin as well as moisturizing, and many other great qualities.
Eventually I ended up with a recipe including avocado, castor, coconut, olive, palm, palm kernel, shea and cocoa butter. Because of the unsaponifiables (see glossary) in the avocado and shea butter, this soap has more oil left in the finished bar to help moisturize and condition your skin.
The coconut and palm kernel oil give you a hard bar, with great cleaning qualities as well as a fluffy lather.
-Olive oil gives great moisturizing and qualities.
-Palm oil also gives you a hard bar of soap as well.
-Castor Oil give you stable lather and conditioning.
-Cocoa and Shea butter give you a hard bar as well as stable lather and conditioning too.
So, up to this time, we're talking 100% natural oils.
Our final ingredients, also the ingredients that make the soap the most fun, are essential or fragrance oils, and colorants, both natural and cosmetic grade manufactured colorants.
This is why we say our soap is 99% to 100% natural. Essential oils are plant based natural fragrances. Fragrance oils are manufactured, though they can contain essential oils as well. We use both essential and fragrance oils. The fragrance oils are all very high quality.
When we use essential oils I try to use natural colorants. This way, those bars are 100% natural. These are also a separate category in our store too.
One of the more challenging aspects of soap making is to figure out how to balance all of the different characteristics of the various oils into a bar of soap that will be hard enough to last, yet be kind to your skin. As soap makers we are always trying to find the best balance to produce a hard bar with fluffy but stable lather that also moisturizes the skin. It can be challenging, but I do believe I've done it! Try it for yourself, and see what you think!
Our soap prices start at $6 a bar. However, the more you buy, the better the price. Check out our store for all the wonderful fragrances available. When you buy 4 or more soaps, the price goes down to $5.50 each, and when you buy 10 or more it goes down to $5.00 each!
Also, if you follow us on Facebook we have other specials as well. I post upcoming events, new products, and new fragrances. Many times the website is behind Facebook, so don’t get left behind!
Finally, just so you know what you’re getting, when the soap is ‘born’ it’s a little over 5 ounces. By the time it has cured, and is ready for you to use, it is generally just under 5 ounces. This gives you a very generous sized bar.
This all natural soap is great for dry skin. It combines the essential oils of rosemary and lavender with aloe vera and ground comfrey root. The comfrey gives it the dark brown color. Everything in this soap is designed for your dry skin. On top of that, the lather is great too!
Love the smell of licorice? Need a soap to go fishing? Are you intrigued yet? Anise essential oil is used in this white with black (activated charcoal) marbled soap. Anise smells like black licorice, and apparently fish are attracted as well as people. Don't believe me? Google Anise and fisherman's soap. You know, if it's on the internet it must be true?! Anyway, I have had a number of people tell me it actually works!
If you're a lemon fan, here's your soap! Clean, fresh, and energizing, this soap will get you ready to start your day!
Love the great outdoors? This is a great soap for you. Birch wood and oud (a resin produced from agar tree) produce a devine woodsy fragrance. This is a limited run of 22 bars only. We're trying it out to see if it's a keeper. The reaction at shows so far looks like it might!
Yumm! Black Amber and Lavender Soap is a lovely blend of lavender, vanilla, musk, amber, tonka bean, and others. The blend doesn't overpower, and while lavender is there, it is a subtle blend. There is enough vanilla in it that it turns a dark brown, so we added a little color of blue, lavender, and white to give it some color. I think you'll really like this one.
Black Leather and Vetiver Soap has arrived to try out. This is an earthy blend of leather, patchouli, oud wood, vetiver, pepper, and vanilla. This is a very nice masculine fragrance. This is a light tan and cream colored soap.
Black Raspberry Vanilla is a wonderful combination of raspberries and vanilla cream. Yummm! Pink, purple, and black (activated charcoal) swirl through a creamy white background. You'll love this fruity vanilla.
This soap has a rich red wine fragrance. Don't want to smell like wine? Don't blame you, but this soap won't do that. It's just smells really good! A number of customers said it reminded them of grapes! I wonder why? Don't know what kind of gift to give your wine loving friends? Try pairing this with a Chardonnay Soap (seasonal around Christmas) in a 2 soap gift box!
Celestial Waters is a beautiful blue and white swirling pattern. Neither floral nor fruity, this fragrance is a light, clean scent designed to delight the senses, and take you to a calm, happy place! Men seem to like this fragrance as much as women.
Our Tea Tree Soap has been revised! Same great fragrance from tea tree essential oil, but we've added charcoal. Formerly a white on white bar, it's now a black (activated charcoal) soap with small white swirls; mostly because I'm incapable of make a plain bar. So many people have asked if we had a Charcoal Soap, that we decided to remake our Tea Tree Soap into a Charcoal Tea Tree Soap! Tea Tree Essential Oil has been know to have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antiseptic properties for skin issues. Now we add activated charcoal for even more benefits! Activated Charcoal is known for detoxifying as well as many of the benefits as tea tree oil. A match made in skin heaven so to speak! I have one customer who uses it as a lice shampoo for kids. 🙂
Looking for the wonderful smell of a pine forest? Well, here it is! You'll think you're out hunting for a Christmas tree, and just taking a walk through a pine forest!
I found this fragrance in a bath bomb in Virginia. I fell in love, so I had to try it in soap too! Uummm! Nice! More lemongrass than coconut, but the coconut softens the lemongrass with a hint of the tropics.
So we put 'de lime in de coconut,' and what a great smelling bar of soap it is! A green and yellow bar with a hint of white, this soap has a very light fresh spa like fragrance.
Oh the fresh scent of clean rain. This is my husband's second favorite bar of soap. Critter being his first. A rich blue with shreds of other soaps for color. This bar smells even better in the shower with the hot water bringing out the fragrance.
This is an all natural shampoo bar for your favorite critter, 2 or 4 legged. This bar is great for the sensitive and problem skin of the 4 legged critters in your life as well as your own skin! We use safflower oil in this soap for a light clean easily rinsed feeling. The essential oils in this bar (lavender, eucalyptus, fir needle, tea tree, and patchouli) are designed to help man and critter alike. Besides, I figure if you're giving your dog a bath, you'll end up with one too! Our ranch dogs, Digit and Black Dog, rave about it too! Of course, they'd rather rave than have a bath! It's also my husband's favorite! Don't use on cats. Tea Tree is not good for them!
Neither floral nor fruity, this lovely mint green bar has a refreshingly clean fragrance. It's one of our most popular soaps!
This brown soap with textured scales of pink and gold is all about the 60's! Incense is back! Patchouli is the part of this fragrance that people either like or don't like, but either way, you get a reaction! Please note, no dragons were harmed in the making of this soap! Sat them down with some beer that we make soap with, and said, "This won't hurt a bit!" 🙂
This is a bright and fresh scent with notes of grapefruit, lemon, lime, cucumber, jasmine, pineapple, blackberry, and champagne. It is an invigorating wake up call!
A classic, this soft pink soap will take you into a rose garden paradise. For rose lovers, this soap is for you!
Felted Soap is your soap and washcloth all in one. Wool fiber has been felted around a bar of soap to create a permanent exfoliating cover. Each of these are unique works of usable art. Choose a fragrance category and color ish to order your felted soap. We can't guarantee a specific fragrance or color, but we'll try to get close. During checkout you can request a specific fragrance, but no guarantees unless you want to order a custom felted soap. You can email me for current stock.
Liquid Foaming Soap - Choose from most of our soap fragrances, and many other essential oils, for a nice hand soap for use on any counter, bathroom, kitchen, or otherwise, where a bar of soap might be messy. Our foaming soaps have the same quantity discounts as our bar soaps.

This is a holiday favorite! A warm musky and woodsy scent, Frankincense and Myrrh come together for the holiday season.
The fragrance of a gardenia in full bloom is not one you'll soon forget! This soft off white bar has a very rich and striking fragrance. If you love gardenias, you'll love this soap.
Chunks of any soap I make in a Lemongrass essential oil cornmeal base. Hence, the gumbo and scrubbing name! Very colorful soap with great scrubbing power, even laundry! Use it to scrub a tough stain. My niece likes it in the shower, though it's a little scubby for my delicate (read older) skin. Great for scrubbing heels or hands coming in from the garden or ranch.
If you love Jasmine, you'll love this soap. This soap is a soft white bar with a blush of pink and a pure jasmine fragrance.
Not sure what soaps you want? Our Large Soap Samplers are a great opportunity to experience 6 random fragrances without purchasing an entire bar of soap. (Not that that is such a bad idea!) Bag color and fragrances are randomly chosen.
Like lavender? This is the bar for you. Pure lavender with creamy cocoa butter for more moisturizing. This is my neighbor's favorite soap. He even shaves with it because of the rich creamy lather!
I don't know how many times I've heard, "Do you have Lemon Verbena?" Well, now we do. This lovely light yellow bar with pale swirls will answer your needs for Lemon Verbena Soap!
Will be back in stock January 5, 2020.
For a refreshing moment in a long hot day, try this lemongrass and sage soap! The strong lemony citrus will refresh your senses, and the sage will guide you to the country.
Such a silly name for such an exotic fragrance with base notes of raspberry, cantaloupe, and watermelon, middle notes of jasmine and violet, and fresh top notes of grapefruit and kumquat. However, the actual fragrance oil is "Lick Me All Over." Wasn't sure that was an appropriate name, so we came up with Lick'O'Licious. We're still searching for an appropriate name. Any ideas? This soap does smell delightful!
Another new entree this year. LoveSpell (type) is a beautiful creamy orangy pink bar with white pattern on top. It's a blend of citrus, fruit, and floral, with deeper hints of musk. It's really quite lovely! Yumm!
Looking for that great small gift or stocking stuffer? Just want to try out a little of soap, lotion, and lip balm? Our Mini Gift Bag is just what you're looking for. A small soap sampler (4 mini slices), 1 oz lotion, and lip balm, come in a pretty organza bag. Like I said. Perfect gift for those you have no idea what to get! You get to pick out your lotion and lip balm preference, and a small soap sampler will be added.
The mint family comes together in this all natural green soap. Eucalyptus, peppermint, and rosemary essential oils combine for a wonderful 'wake up, get moving' soap. Add to that peppermint leaves, and you have a great refreshing soap! I've had some customers use it to help with colds and even breathing! Cut off a piece of soap and run hot water over it, put your head over it, and you have a minty inhaler! We also carry this fragrance in lotion and lip balm!
Humm. What does a Monkey Fart smell like? That is indeed the question! Take a chance! What do monkeys eat? I get bananas, pineapple, chocolate (?). Some say play dough! Well, it's a silly name, for a not at all bad fragrance. Who will you get one for? 🙂
For fragrance sensitive skin, but still want our wonderful soap base, try our plain oatmeal soap made with goat's milk. No fragrance or color has been added, but we did add ground up oatmeal. Oatmeal is wonderful for the skin, and you get a very nice exfoliation too!
Straight from Grandma's kitchen! Warm oatmeal flavored with creamy milk and honey.
An almost edible smelling soap, yet don't eat this one. It just doesn't taste as good as it smells! Made with a Belgium white beer and Oatmeal Stout fragrance oil, this soap offers up the fragrance of beer, oatmeal, vanilla, orange and other goodies. It also contains oatmeal for a light exfoliation. Combine this with our Pumpkin Lager Soap in a 2 soap gift box, for a great gift for the beer lover in your life. Women seem to like it as well as men! It just smells that good!
This is a very light, fresh, ocean scent. Smelling this soap will take you to your favorite beach! You can almost hear the waves, and see the changing ocean colors as the waves head toward the shore.
Sweet Orange Chili Pepper Soap has arrived! Sweet orange and other citrus along with the spicy peppers, black pepper and slightly musky. This is a new fragrance were trying out. Love to hear your opinion.
I'm new to the line up! People were always asking if we had a patchouli soap. We referred them to our Dragon's Blood Soap, as that was what it reminded everyone of. But, the time has come, and now we have a straight patchouli essential oil soap. This is a creamy off white bar with activated charcoal swirls. I could not decide if I should blend it with another oil, so here it it! Think of the 60's, hippies, musky, and incense. It is definitely a blast from the past! If you order this, let me know what you think. Do we want to blend it with another oil like lavender or orange? Let me know in the comments section or on our Facebook Page.
Pineapple Cilantro is a very happy blend of pineapple and cilantro. Probably more pineapple than cilantro, but a very upbeat fruity concoction of the tropics! I love this one! Makes me very happy! The bar is pale yellow with some green swirls through it. Surprise! 🙂 This is another new fragrance we're trying out. Enjoy!
Will be back in stock in by January 5, 2020
Love the smell of fresh Bartlett pears? This is your soap! Why Placer Pear? This creamy white bars have soft veins of gold and silver running through it like the ground in Placer Co. When we did the Pear Fair in Courtland, CA last year, we made pear shaped soap too! If you're in the area the last Sunday of July, come check it out! This is a great soap for Christmas too.
Been to Hawaii? This fragrance will take you there. It's a wonderful floral. Not to strong, but very definite. I couldn't decide which color to use, so I used a combination of pinks, orange, and yellow.
For the sandalwood lovers, plain sandalwood soap. No extras added.
Star Showers is a unisex blend of effervescent grapes with light nuances of rose and geranium on a background of patchouli, orange, lime, and warm musk. This is not a heavy fragrance. Think of drifting through the cosmos on a shooting star! At least that's what I was thinking when I made this soap a deep purple and blue space with glowing stars shooting through it! How's that for a description!
Are you a lavender, lemon, or peppermint fan? Well, here you are. Starry Night is a blend of lavender, lemon, and peppermint essential oils, combined into a blue, black, and yellow bar that came out looking like Van Gough's Starry Night. Couldn't resist.
Back by popular demand! We've made our Strawberries & Champagne Soap even better by adding Goat's Milk to it. A lovely creamy soap great for your skin, this soft bubbly fruity blend will make your skin feel great.
The Perfect Man is a wonderful fragrance that will remind you of your man's favorite cologne, or what your perfect man should smell like. I would call this masculine tending toward unisex: Citrus, spice, (and everything nice), and ending with a base of woody and resin notes.
New! Tobacco and Bay Leaf! Not just a tobacco fragrance, but a mix of bay leaf, fir needle, cedarwood, bergamot, and tobacco. Here is a great masculine scent just in time for giving to the man in your life! Mind you, I've had ladies who think it's just fine too!
Need soap with no fragrance? This is your soap! An unfragranced soap with goat's milk. Yes, it does look just like Strawberries & Champagne. Oops, forgot to add the fragrance!
Love the warm smell of vanilla in your house? This is your vanilla! It is a warm creamy sweet caramelly holiday cooking type vanilla. Vanilla Noir is slightly musky, but this is just plain warm and sweet vanilla. Love this.
Looking for a darker, sexier version of vanilla. Here's your Vanilla Noir. Yumm!
An earthy fragrance reminding you of a walk in the woods followed by a stiff shot of rum afterwards!
Think of a juicy watermelon and you’ll see this soap. It even has a rind and seeds (poppy seeds). The smell is just great! An added benefit is an mild exforiation from the poppy seeds! Very gentle for your face!
This soft lavender to purple swirled soap is a lovely soft floral that will not overpower you. Even those who don't like florals like this one! This fragrance has been a staple in our soap line for many years, and never seems to go out of favor! See what you think!
